Having clean air takes on added importance in Rochester, Minnesota. That’s because the town is home to the renowned Mayo Clinic and a health-conscious population.

Rochester Public Transit has sought to help that effort by running its buses on biodiesel for nearly 20 years. Biodiesel has also performed well in the vehicles and kept the city’s bottom line healthier by saving tens of thousands of dollars each year compared with the cost of petroleum diesel.
