The NAFA I&E 2019 wrapped up with a focus on mobility, designating the entirety of its last day on technologies including autonomous vehicles, EVs, Software as a Service, cybersecurity, and more.
The day began with a fleet management executive panel, featuring executives from several fleet management companies who spoke on their vision of the future of fleet, which included Dan Frank of Wheels, Inc.; Tom Callahan of Donlen; Jay Forbes of Element Fleet Management; Bob White of ARI; and Matt Dyer of LeasePlan USA.
Following the panel, the exhibition hall, which featured more than 250 vendors, was opened, which then led to a closing luncheon and the CAFM graduation ceremony. Following this was the final keynote address "The Mobility Revolution: A Primer for Fleet Managers" from Lukas Neckermann, managing director, Neckermann Strategic Advisors.
After this were several mobility-focused panels that centered on the fleet industry; sessions covered included autonomous vehicles, connected vehicle technology, and electric vehicle technology.
Earlier during NAFA I&E, the conference featured a presentation honoring the 2019 FLEXY Award Winners, and included the final day of CAFM certification training. A keynote presentation earlier in the week by Chris Riddell, digital futurist keynote speaker, discussed how current and future technologies are impacting fleet.
The start of NAFA I&E began with the official launch of the Association’s new “NAFA Communities," which is an online virtual community that allows fleets of every segment to share best practices through NAFA's official website.
