Energize Your Remarketing at CAR 2004

The Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR), now in its ninth year as the nation's premiere remarketing conference, will take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, january 21-23, 2004. This year's show will cover the broad spectrum of the remarketing industry and include an all-star line up of industry experts who will address topics in the forefront of the industry, providing how-to solutions for your company.

In addition, exhibitors will demonstrate the industry's newest products and services, and attendees will enjoy networking opportunities with other remarketing professionals.

CAR 2004 will co-locate with the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA), which will hold its remarketing roundtable series for IARA members and CAR attendees, featuring the industry's top auction, consignee, and financial companies. CAR 2004 has a strong backing of automotive association sponsors this year, including the National Automotive Finance Association (NAF), National Vehicle Leasing Association (NVLA), Automotive Fleet and Leasing Association (AFLA), and the conference lead sponsor, Gigglepop.com, a leader of PDA valuation software. CAR has something exciting for everyone in the remarketing industry during its three-day run.

January 21: Opening Day

The day will start with the IARA luncheon followed by the organization's acclaimed Roundtable Meeting at 2 p.m. Roundtable topics include the IARA Online Remarketing Orientation Course, Transportation Issues Involved in upstream Selling, and the National Remarketing Survey by Emercent Solutions of Chicago. The luncheon and Roundtable Meetings are open, free of charge, to all IARA members and CAR attendees. Further information can be found at www.iaraonline.org.

Immediatley following the roundtable meetings, the CAR evening EXPO and reception will be held, the first opportunity for CAR attendees and IARA members to visit exhibits, sample refreshements, and network.

January 22: The All-Star Line Up Begins

The morning opens with a short welcom by Charlie Vogelheim of Kelley Blue Book and Sherb Brown of Bobit Publishing. "This is my second year as emcee of the Conference of Automotive Remarketing, and I am looking forward to another great show. CAR attracts a broad range of professionals; it's always a great opportunity for networking," says Vogelheim.

The first of two exceptional keynote speakers, Don Esmond, senior VP of Toyota Motor Sales, will address "Positioning Residuals, Certified Programs, and Direct-to-Dealer Online Used-Car Sales," essential information for anyone interested in increasing profits from used-vehicle sales.

Scheduled after lunch, the second keynoters, Gretchen Joyce, director of autos, eBay Motors, will share insights the company has gained from its online sales programs. The Internet marketer is currently accessed by more than seven million people monthly and has sold more than $3 billion in gross merchandise sales through 2002.

CAR's second day will end with a networking reception and another chance to view the latest in remarketing products and services at teh EXPO. You won't want to miss this opportunity to discuss the day's events with your peers.

A conference highlight, the morning's keynote speaker, Chip Perry, president of Autotrader.com, will discuss "The Future Perspective of Consumer and Trade Remarketing."
