Also known as “The Demo Expo,” the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) takes place every other year. Last held in 2015, this year’s show will be held in Louisville, Ky., at the Kentucky Exposition Center from October 3-5, 2017.
This event is focused on utility and construction professionals and goes over technology and innovations as well as trends impacting both industries.
What You'll Do
Attendees include utility and contractor professionals from electric, telecom/cable, gas, and drinking/wastewater industries. The majority of those in attendance are field operators in addition to fleet managers and engineers, making it an ideal networking opportunity.
There is a fee to attend, discounted prior to the event, and attendees can register on-site for $79.
Abundant Education & Networking Opportunities
The 2017 show features more than 950 manufacturers, a “test run” experience at the show, as well as sessions covering several important areas related to these industries.
More than 75 sessions will take place as learning opportunities to enhance the education of the novice to the veteran, focusing on safety, reducing downtime, and increasing efficiencies.
New to the show for 2017 will be “walk around classrooms,” which will utilize the show floor to provide more visual, hands-on information to attendees, versus the traditional presentation format.
Get Certified
In addition, several industry certification and recertification exams will be available, including the Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) and National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). Hands-on demonstrations of the NCCCO practical exams will also be provided.
This year’s event will also feature a benefit auction to help the construction community connect military veterans with industry jobs. Presented by Benjamin Media and J.J. Kane Auctioneers, a variety of items will be available for bidding, including tools and vacations. All proceeds support the Call of Duty Endowment (CODE).
Additional networking activities will also be available, such as “Bourbon, Beer & Bites,” a chance to taste bourbons from local Kentucky distilleries, relax, and talk shop with other industry professionals.
