The Ram ProMaster and ProMaster City vans have also received updates to their exterior and now include the RAM grille theme from the automakers line of pickup trucks.

Ram has made several updates to the MY-2019 Ram ProMaster, including increased towing and payload capabilities, an expanded wheelbase, and new high and low roof options.

For the new model year, the Ram ProMaster now includes a 136-inch wheelbase low roof for the 2500 and 3500 Cargo Vans, according to a release from the automaker. The ProMaster 3500 Cargo Van is also available with a 136 inch-in wheelbase high roof.

Also, the Ram ProMaster has increased payload capabilities by as much as 240 lbs., according to Ram. The Ram ProMaster 1500 now has a payload capacity of 4,000 pounds; the 2500 has been upped to 4,230 pounds; and the 3500 can manage 4,680 pounds. Towing has also increased up to 30% and can manage up to 6,800 pounds; the current generation can tow 5,100 pounds.

To enhance the new towing weights, a new Trailer-tow Group is available, adding a Class IV receiver hitch with four- and seven-pin wiring harness, Ram said in a release.

Meanwhile, the Ram ProMaster and ProMaster City vans have also received updates to their exterior and now include the RAM grille theme from the automakers line of pickup trucks.

Upfitter-friendly technology for Ram ProMaster includes a Vehicle System Interface Module (VSIM) with 13 inputs and 41 outputs (54 total).
