Subaru Announces Second All-New EV Model

All 2026 Uncharted models feature a North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging port, which unlocks access to more than 25,000 charging stations across the U.S.

The 2026 Subaru Uncharted is available in five exterior colors: Coastal Wolf Gray Metallic, Habanero Orange Metallic, Cosmic White Pearl, Astro Black Mica, and Metropolis Gray.

Subaru of America, Inc. announced its all-new EV, the Subaru Uncharted Sport and GT.

The new model has an estimated range of 300 miles on a single charge, 338 hp, a dual-motor drivetrain, Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and X-MODE Dual-Mode SystemCharge that charges the battery from 10-80% in 28 minutes.

It supports 150 kW charging and includes a standard NACS port. It will be available nationwide early next year, starting at $34,995 MSRP.

This is the lowest entry price point across Subaru’s EV lineup. 

Trim Specs

The 2026 Subaru Uncharted will be available in three trim levels: Premium FWD, Sport, and GT. 

The Premium FWD model will be front-wheel-drive only with an estimated range of more than 300 miles and 221 horsepower. 

Uncharted Sport and GT models are equipped with standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with X-MODE®, an estimated range of more than 285 miles, and 338 horsepower.

All trim levels will feature a high-capacity 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery with a preconditioning system that prepares it for optimal charging in cold-weather climates, supporting charging rates up to 150 kW. 

An 11-kW onboard charger offers quick charging at home.

The 2026 Subaru Uncharted is equipped with 8.2 inches of ground clearance, a 14-inch Subaru Multimedia System featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and distraction mitigation system. 

It will also come standard with a suite of Subaru EyeSight driver-assistance technologies, a power rear gate, and an all-weather package.

Premium FWD

The Uncharted Premium FWD will offer an array of standard equipment and safety features, including:

  • EyeSight driver-assist technologies

  • Pre-Collision Braking

  • Front Cross Traffic Alert

  • Blind Spot Monitors

  • Lane Departure Alert

  • Emergency Stop Assist

  • Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control

  • And a distraction mitigation system

It will feature a front-wheel-drive powertrain delivering an estimated range of more than 300 miles and 221 horsepower, ride on 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with gloss-black covers, and include a standard power rear liftgate. 

Eco and Snow drive modes are standard, as is the All-Weather Package, which includes heated front seats, heated power exterior mirrors, and a windshield wiper de-icer. 

It will also sport LED headlights with headlight washers.

Some convenience and comfort features include a digital key, customizable ambient interior lighting, dual wireless cell phone chargers, dual front and rear USB-C charging ports, 120-volt AC power outlet, cloth interior upholstery, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more.

The interior houses a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch LCD gauge cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more.

Uncharted Sport

The 2026 Uncharted Sport includes all of the features mentioned for the Uncharted Premium FWD and adds an uprated powertrain and Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with X-MODE Dual-Mode System for $39,795 MSRP. It boasts 338 horsepower from dual electric motors located on the front and rear axles and more than 285 miles of manufacturer-estimated range.

A 360-degree surround-view monitor, Traffic Jam Assist, and Lane Change Assist are among the advanced safety features available in the Subaru Uncharted. 

Driver's seat memory with voice-activated adjustment and an 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat are among the convenience features included in the Uncharted Sport.

The Uncharted is Subaru’s first all-electric CUV.

Uncharted GT

The Uncharted GT features unique styling and upgraded interior amenities, with a $43,795 MSRP.

It features a panoramic glass roof with a motorized sunshade, ventilated front seats, a Harman Kardon® speaker system, optional two-tone paint, 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels with gunmetal finish, heated rear outboard seats, and a digital rearview mirror with HomeLink.
