TORRANCE, CA – Don’t wait until the last minute to sign up for the first-ever Fleet Safety Conference, produced by Bobit Business Media and endorsed by the American Automotive Leasing Association (AALA), the National Safety Council, and the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS). As of May 10, more than 170 fleet, safety, and risk management professionals from across the country have already signed up to attend.
The two-day event, scheduled for May 22-23 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in Schaumburg, Ill., will be packed with educational sessions for both commercial and government fleets, covering distracted driving, predicting and preventing at-fault crashes, resources that can be used to promote a safety culture, facts and information on entrustment liabilities, as well as federal and state regulations and compliance.
Fleet managers will have the opportunity to gain valuable insight to help improve safety operations through networking and sessions featuring some of the top fleets in the country. Among the speakers will be Monsanto’s Maggie Cole, 2012 Fleet Executive of the Year; Forest Pharmaceuticals’ Theresa Belding, 2011 Professional Fleet Manager of the Year; McDonald’s Sue Miller, 1998 Professional Fleet Manager of the Year; and Kraft Foods’ John Dmochowsky, finalist for 2012 Professional Fleet Manager of the Year.
Other highlights include sneak peeks of in-vehicle safety technology from several automakers, a comparison of NHTSA and IIHS ratings with real-world experiences, and the presentation of the first-ever Fleet Safety Award, honoring the top safety professional. The award is sponsored by AALA.
