Toyota Launches All-New Aqua Hybrid-Electric Compact Car

Toyota Motor Corporation has launched the all-new Aqua, a hybrid electric-only compact car offering approximately 20-percent more fuel efficiency – 35.8 km/L – than its previous generation. The Aqua is the world's first vehicle to use a high-output bipolar nickel-hydrogen battery as an electric drive battery. According to Toyota, the new battery realizes approximately twice the output as it delivers improved accelerator responsiveness and enables smooth, linear acceleration from low speeds.

Fit for 55: EU Announces Ambitious Decarbonization Plans

Fleets operating in Europe will be forced to electrify vehicles by 2035 under far-reaching plans announced  on July 14, 2021 by the European Commission.
