Toyota North America Headquarters Tour

The corporate headquarters has three entrances. One for Toyota, the second for Lexus, and the third for Toyota Financial Services. This is the Toyota entrance comprised two buildings connected by a shared lobby.

Toyota Fleet Department is located on the fourth floor in Building E1, which is of the two building main entrance of Toyota that are connected by a common lobby.

Another perspective of the interior atrium like area looking on the Lexus headquarters. The seven building has 4,000 Toyota team members working within them. Each floor has unique collaborative and personal areas so team members can work in their own style.

The primary facade of the TMNA headquarters is glass. More than 12 acres of glass was used. In addition, there was 17,000 tons of reinforcing steel and 142,500 yards of poured concrete used to construct the seven building campus.

The Sequoia Conference, located inside the TMNA corporate campus, will be the venue for Toyota’s 2019 Fleet Preview, which will be held in June 2018. It has seating for 500 people.

One of the many specialized food stations available at Toyota. The Pizza Station sells 190 pizzas a day during the lunch hour. Other food stations are grilled food, Asian cuisine, sushi, burgers, sandwiches, to name a few.

There are self-serve markets throughout the TMNA headquarters to serve company team members. The in-house markets operate on an honor system basis. Pictured is the Wildflower Market.

One of the self-serve markets focuses on only offering Japanese food brands.

The 2.1 million square foot facility has an equal amount of collaborative work area as individual work spaces.

There are four parking structures, each with solar panel roofs. Thirty percent of the electricity used by Toyota are captured by these solar panels.

Rain water is captured at the four parking structures are captured in cisterns (shown in photo) and use to irrigate the campus foliage.

One of the many “smart boards” locate on hallway walls that help team members locate other team members, find open meeting rooms, assess traffic before heading home, get outside weather reports along with other features.

Toyota will celebrate is celebrating its 60th anniversary in the U.S. Toyota first entered the U.S. market on Oct. 31, 1957.

The all-new $1 billion corporate headquarters for Toyota Motor North America is comprised of seven buildings clustered around a large open atrium area which includes an artificial river.

The TMNA headquarters was designed to let in the maximum natural light, such as through massive glass skyports (shown in photo) that run down the interior height of the buildings in multiple locations.

The Toyota museum is still under construction and will not open until January 2018.

The TMNA headquarters also includes a vehicle Center to service team member vehicles.

All Toyota team member Work stations are sit-stand workstations. In the foreground are some of the 29 people in the Toyota fleet department, who cumulatively managed 10% of all Toyota sales.

The focus of the interior design is to encourage collaboration. The only Toyota team members with offices are Group Vice Presidents and higher. Another differentiator is that there are no landline phones. All member use headsets to make internet phone calls.

The Toyota gym also features a 36-feet high rock Wall to climb.

There is a 20,000-square-foot, two-story gym and wellness center for Toyota team members to use that also includes a weight room, massage rooms, and dressing rooms.
