The NAFA 2025 Institute & Expo, held from April 28–30 in Long Beach, California, attracted over 2,100 fleet and mobility professionals from the corporate, government, public safety, utility, and education sectors. They came from 48 U.S. states, 14 countries, and seven Canadian provinces.

NAFA celebrated 70 new Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) graduates this year, who came from over 20 U.S. states and four countries, encompassing sectors such as public safety, government, utilities, and education.

Futurist and AI advisor Timothy Papandreou delivered a keynote that challenged fleet professionals to reframe artificial intelligence not as a job killer, but as a powerful copilot. “AI isn’t going to take your job,” he said. “But it will take over parts of your job you don’t want to do — and that’s a good thing.”

These dancers welcomed attendees to the Rev it Up Reception on the patio of the Long Beach Terrace Theater. Expect a new set of entertainers for NAFA I&E 2026, to be held in Cleveland, Ohio!

NAFA reported that this year's event was the largest since 2018, with more than 225 exhibitors and over 45 educational sessions.

During his Tuesday morning keynote, Jeffrey Kommor, SVP retail sales, US market for Stellantis, quoted Winston Churchill in advice to the crowd: Success is "stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm."

Led by BBM's Chris Brown, the OEM panel (l-r: Gabe Slack, GM, Eric Swanson of Stellantis, and Greg Wood of Ford Pro) discussed - you guessed it - tariffs. They also discussed the lingering challenges around supply chains, vehicle ordering, parts availability, and pricing predictability.
