Chanje's Medium-Duty Electric Van

Austin Hausmann, vice president of R&D and product, shows the van's cargo area.

A 240-volt (Level 2) charging port enables a full charge from zero in 10 hours.

The cabin provides ample room for drivers with various body types.

A 10-inch display in the dashboard shows a variety of operating info.

The company plans to produce a Class 4 and Class 6 van in future years in cargo and passenger variants.

Chanje is partnering with Ryder for sales, service, and parts.

CEO Bryan Hansel spoke to media members.

Chanje is building the van in a partnership with Hong Kong-based FDG Electric Vehicles Limited.

The all-electric Chanje V8070 van is estimated to have a range of 100 miles with a 3,000 lb. payload.

The van is rated at 16,500 lb. GVWR with a maximum payload rating of 6,000 pounds.

The V8070 provides a cavernous 580 cu. ft. of cargo area.

A battery charger is located under the hood. The battery packs charge two 74-kilowatt electric motors mounted near each rear wheel.

Two large 70-kilowatt-per-hour lithium-ion battery packs are mounted to the van's undercarriage.

A instrument panel is illuminated with multiple colors and shows regenerative braking, charge level, and other operational information.

The vans have been designed from the ground up as electric vehicles.

The vehicles will launch as 2017-MY vans.
