2015 Conference of Automotive Remarketing



Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly addressed a packed room during his keynote address. In addition to giving a message of hope, Kelly had fun with the audience, tossing signed footballs to those who could answer some tough NFL-related trivia.

Auction Broadcasting Co. Founder and CEO Mike Hockett Sr. reflected on his 50 years in the business and looked ahead to the industry’s next chapter.





Bobit Business Media President and CEO Ty Bobit (center) was presented the inaugural Ed Bobit Icon of the Automotive Industry Award, named in honor of his late father, Bobit Business Media founder, and industry legend Ed Bobit, by (l-r) Tony Long, executive director of the IARA; Levi McCoy, president of the IARA; Ellie Johnson, NAAA president; and Frank Hackett, NAAA CEO. The award was presented jointly by the IARA and NAAA.

Jay Cadigan of Manheim was named Remarketer of the Year. He was presented his award by CAR Chair and AF Editor Mike Antich.

Ricky Beggs of Black Book received the Industry Leadership Award from CAR Chair and AF Editor Mike Antich.

The Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR) was held March 18-19 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The event attracted a record 700 industry stakeholders. As in past years, CAR was co-located with the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) Spring Roundtable.


Networking played a big role during CAR 2015, with attendees reconnecting with old friends and building new professional relationships. Networking sessions are among the most popular aspects of the annual conference.

Paul Seger of GE Capital was named Consignor of the Year. He received his award from CAR Chair and AF Editor Mike Antich.
