Fleetonomy Solves Range Anxiety for Audi's Long-Distance Mobility Initiative
Audi will use Fleetonomy’s ride-hailing platform to power its long-distance BITS mobility service, which uses a mix of gas-powered and electric vehicles. The platform can schedule vehicle use according to battery capacity, optimal charging time, and charging locations.

The first prototype of the service had its first successful live run at the beginning of October.

Fleetonomy announced that Audi Business Innovation GmbH has partnered with the start-up company on their latest New Mobility initiative BITS, a service operating in southern Germany, providing mobility services for long-distance drives across the region with a mixed fleet of both electric vehicles and ICE models from Audi’s wide selection of premium vehicles.
The first prototype of the service had its first successful live run at the beginning of October.
The partnership enables Audi to operate the entire service using Fleetonomy’s advanced ride-hailing platform and solve some of the critical challenges when operating an app-based, mobility service using a mixture of gas-powered and electric vehicles in a single fleet-based service. Some of the challenges include solving range anxiety by planning efficient scheduling of the vehicles according to battery capacity, choosing optimal charging time and locations, guaranteeing that the service is operating according to demand and ensuring that trips are completed smoothly.
As part of the startup company’s end-to-end solution, Fleetonomy also delivers the white-labeled mobile apps for the service’s passengers and drivers, as well as a full dispatch and scheduling management dashboard (including CRM), to be used by Audi Business Innovation’s service operators. As the first of its kind in the German region, the service provides a sustainable alternative to the existing flight or train travel options.
