Auto Truck Group Receives New Ship Through for Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra
BARTLETT, IL – Auto Truck Group has been awarded ship through capabilities for the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab SWB 2WD and 4WD.
BARTLETT, IL – Auto Truck Group has been awarded ship through capabilities for the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab SWB 2WD and 4WD. The vehicle will be added to the Fort Worth, Texas location, according to the company.
Auto Truck Group said fleets will use the ship through code Vi1 when ordering the models listed previously. The factory will ship the vehicles to Auto Truck Group’s Fort Worth facility for upfitting of fleet-requested equipment. Once completed, Auto Truck Group will ship the trucks back to General Motors Arlington, Texas facility for final delivery.
Ship through upfits can include items such as: strobe lights, hitches, truck tool boxes, GPS systems, mobile radios, and decals. Ship through is primarily used by companies whose fleet is spread out over a large area, Auto Truck Group stated.
“Using ship through services provides fleets additional assurance that vehicles will be upfit correctly, quickly, and consistently,” said Vice President of Sales and Marketing Dennis Jones. Auto Truck Group said it has ship through services with all major truck manufacturers.
