ADESA Corp. has made several management changes which it says will better align auction operations in the southern and southwestern United States used-car markets. In Tampa, FL, Tim Sherk has been appointed to the position of general manager of ADESA Tampa. Sherk began his career with ADESA Tampa in 1997 as a sales representative before being promoted to consignment sales manager in 1999, general sales manager in 2001 and assistant general manager in 2002. In addition to Sherk’s promotion, ADESA has created a regional vice president position for the Florida market that will be assumed by current ADESA Dallas general manager, Howard Price effective Nov. 1. With experience in vehicle auction management, Price joined ADESA Dallas in December 1999 as the auction’s general manager. Replacing Price as general manager for ADESA Dallas is Scott Stalder who began his career as an assistant general manager for ADESA Dallas in 1997 before taking over as general manager of ADESA Austin in 1999. Stalder will begin his new position on Nov. 1. Taking over as general manager for ADESA Austin is current assistant general manager of ADESA Dallas, Tim Adams. A Rowlett, TX resident, Adams began his career as a reconditioning manager for ADESA Dallas in 1997. In 1998, the auction promoted Adams to operations/reconditioning manager and to Toyota factory manager in 1999 before he assumed the position of assistant general manager in 2000. Adams’s new appointment takes effect Nov. 1.
