Shari Goggin, a senior litigation counsel, who has defended multi-million dollar, high-level exposure in fleet safety, trucking, commercial and personal liability claims through jury trials and appeals, spoke on how companies can minimize their liability exposure.

Andy Price, director at Fleet Safety Management, gave a comprehensive presentation on effective work-related road risk management practices on various risk factors ranging from managing fatigued and drowsy driving to impaired and distracted driving.

The one-day CEI seminar provided a comprehensive deep dive into key areas of fleet safety that focused on fleet policy compliance, developing a corporate safety culture, techniques to modify employee driving behavior, strategies to avoid negligent entrustment, and instituting accountability and recognition programs.

Judge Brian MacKenzie (retired) spoke on how a company can build a traffic safety culture to save lives, protect company financial resources, and minimize corporate and personal liabilities associated with preventable work-related vehicle accidents.

The CEI Group held its Third Annual Fleet Safety Seminar on Nov. 13, 2018, at the historic Duke Mansion in Charlotte, N.C. More than 50 corporate fleet safety professionals attended the event.
