GM's 2016-MY Fleet Preview

The theme of the presentation by Ed Peper, VP for GM Fleet & Commercial Operations, focused on how “great products, innovative business solutions, and an exceptional customer experience create value.”

GM assembled 180 models for fleet managers to test drive. There was no shortage of vehicles to drive, featuring GM’s full lineup of sedans, crossovers, trucks, and vans from Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC. In the foreground is a Chevrolet Cruze.

A Chevrolet Colorado gets a look under the hood by one fleet manager. It is available with 2.5L I-4 and 3.6L V-6 engines. In 2016, the Colorado engine lineup expands to include the 2.8L Duramax Turbo-Diesel, a first for a mid-size pickup.

GM’s three-truck strategy was in full display during the test drives. Shown above are Chevrolet Colorado mid-size pickups. Also available were all models of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups.

The Chevrolet City Express attracted much fleet manager interest. In the left photo, Joe Langhauser, product manager for vans, and, in the background John Schwegman, director of commercial products, discuss the City Express with a fleet manager attendee.

Crossover models were an area of interest among fleet managers conducting test drives. Shown in this photo is the Chevrolet Equinox, which appealed to fleet managers for its high fuel efficiency; It has an estimated EPA rating of 32 mpg on the highway.
