Volkswagen Golf, GTI Earn 'Top Safety Pick+' Honors
The 2015 Volkswagen Golf and its twin, the Volkswagen GTI, have earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award in recognition of their crashworthiness and available front crash protection. In each of the crash tests, the cars drew a score of "good" for their performance. The optional forward collision warning system drew a rating of "basic."
