General Motors is recalling nearly 500,000 2014 model-year trucks and SUVs, reports the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

GM will repair 489,936 2014 model-year Chevrolet Silverado Light Duty Regular Cab, Double Cab, and Crew Cab 1500 series and 2015-MY Suburban and Tahoe vehicles; GMC 2014-MY Sierra Regular Cab, Double Cab and Crew Cab 1500 Series vehicles; and 2015-MY Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

These trucks and SUVs may have a transmission oil cooler line that's not securely seated in the fitting. If the line is not securely seated and transmission oil leaks from the fitting, the oil could contact a hot surface and cause a vehicle fire.

The recall is expected to begin April 28. GM's number for this recall is 14121.

NHTSA announced this recall on its website at the same time as another GM recall affecting 174,046 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles. Owners can reach GM at 1-866-996-9463.
