Volkswagen of America appointed Duncan Movassaghi as senior vice president, sales for the Volkswagen brand, effective Feb. 1, 2018, where he will oversee several areas for the automaker including fleet and remarketing.
In this role Movassaghi will also direct activities including management of U.S. sales regions, sales operations, retail programs and fleet and remarketing, the automaker announced.

Movassaghi most recently served as Managing Director, SKODA UK where he had full responsibility for the brand in the U.K. with oversight of sales, aftersales, planning, customer quality, network development, marketing and public relations. He joined the Volkswagen Group in 2010 where he has held the position of head of service and parts operations for Volkswagen Passenger Cars U.K. as well as head of sales operations for SKODA UK. Before joining the Group, he held a number of senior management roles within the pharmaceutical retail and banking sectors.
Movassaghi succeeds Ron Stach, who has left the organization to pursue other career opportunities.
