Volkswagen of America has appointed Werner Eichhorn as chief sales and marketing officer for North America. He will start on Sept. 1 and report to Hinrich Woebcken, CEO of the region, the automaker announced.
Eichhorn will oversee management of sales, after sales and customer experience in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
The company veteran has worked in various roles for the past 35 years, including most recently as a board member for sales and marketing with VW's Czech-based Skoda Auto brand. Prior to that, he oversaw sales and marketing for VW in Germany. He has also served as managing director for Audi's China division.
