Volkswagen Shows Lighter Weight Next-Generation Golf in Europe

HERNDON, VA -The seventh generation of the Golf is built on a lighter weight platform, up to 220 lbs. lighter than the outgoing model, and is the first VW vehicle built on the automaker’s new MQB architecture. The vehicle will make its way to the U.S. as a 2014 model.
