California’s Gasoline Excise Tax Increases 3.5 Cents Per Gallon

California’s gasoline excise tax has gone up 3.5 cents per gallon, effective July 1, 2013. The previous rate was 36 cents per gallon and the new rate is 39.5 cents per gallon.
