APG Duel-Fuel System Moves Closer to Market

CARLISLE, IA - GreenMan Technologies' American Power Group (APG) subsidiary recently drew a series of exceptions from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the testing and verification of a dual-fuel system for aftermarket diesel truck and tractor engines. APG's dual-fuel system displaces 40 to 70 percent of the normal diesel fuel consumption with CNG, LNG or bio-methane.

Legislation Extends Alt-Fuel Incentives

WASHINGTON - The Middle Class Tax Relief Act of 2010 (HR 4853), passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama on Dec. 17, includes extensions of two key incentives for natural gas vehicles. In addition, the law extends the ethanol tax credit through 2011, and retroactively extends the biodiesel tax incentive and the renewable diesel incentive through 2011.
