First 2015 F-150 at Ford's Rouge Plant

Ford senior executives, including (l-r) CEO Mark Fields, Executive Chairman Bill Ford, and Plant Manager Brad Huff joined employees and local officals in celebrating the first all-new 2015 F-150.

Executive Chairman Bill Ford told the assembled guests that the Rouge plant is "the heart of Ford and the F-150 is the centerpiece of the Rouge plant."

CEO Mark Fields credited the transformation of the Rouge plant and the all-new F-150 as an example of the "strength of the 1 Ford plan."

James Settles Jr., UAW vice president, called the Rouge plant "The house that Bill Ford built," and the F-150, the vehicle that saved the Ford Motor Company.

Executive Chairman BIll Ford noted that the all-new aluminum F-150 "is a risk worth taking."

The first all-new aluminum F-150 rolled off the line on Nov. 11, 2014.

 

Plant Manager Brad Huff welcomed employees, senior management, and local officials to Ford's Rouge plant.

Employees who couldn't get close were able to watch the roll off on the big screen.
