This 2026 Niro HEV offers a variety of powertrain options.

The 2026 Kia Niro HEV combines a 1.6-liter GDI engine with a 32kW electric motor for a total output of 139 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. Kia estimates up to 53 MPG combined, with standard driver assistance features including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Keeping Assist.

The Niro HEV Powertrain and Efficiency
All trims are powered by a 1.6-liter GDI four-cylinder engine paired with a 32kW electric motor, delivering a combined 139 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. The 2026 Niro HEV is rated at a Kia-estimated 53 MPG combined for LX, EX, and SX trims.
Standard features include several of Kia’s suite of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features, such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind-Spot Collision Warning.
Available features include Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control and Highway Driving Assist.
