GM's New Consolidated Billing Plan Aims to Boost Fleet Service

General Motors will introduce FleetTrac, a consolidated billing service that will allow customers to have pre-registered fleet vehicles serviced at any participating U.S. GM dealership. Customers will receive one consolidated electronic bill each month. The service will be started in about 60 days by GM Fleet and Commercial Operations.

Legislation Would Set National Standard for Driver's Licenses

Under legislation proposed in the U.S. Congress, the Drivers License Modernization Act (HR 4633) would require that states issue &smart drivers licenses that would hold biometric data, possibly a fingerprint, on the card to ensure identification authentication and the use of biometrics in databases of the state department of motor vehicles to prevent identity theft.
