Sales from nine car and truck manufacturers to commercial fleets slowed in March, increasing 1.3 percent to 59,899 vehicles after a 6.5-percent growth spurt in February, according to Automotive Fleet data.

In March, passenger cars paced the gains with a 3.7-percent increase to 11,892. Sales of trucks, vans, and SUVs increased 0.8 percent to 48,007.

The vehicle manufacturers have now sold 148,929 vehicles in 2015, which represents a 7 percent increase from the first quarter of 2014. Trucks, vans, and SUVs continue their growth trajectory and have gained 7.9 percent in 2015.
