Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is rolling out eight new or redesigned Fiat vehicles in Latin America and 10 in Asia and Australasia between 2014 and 2018 as part of a broad reorganization to position the company as a global automaker.

Fiat hopes to grow global sales to 1.9 million units in 2018, up from 1.5 million in 2013, under a plan announced May 6.

In Latin America, Fiat will introduce a redesigned Uno FL this year, a new A-segment vehicle and compact pickup next year, as well as a new Punto, B-sized CUV and Grand Siena in 2016. A revamped Palio arrives in 2017. A new Siena comes into the market in 2018.

Fiat plans to increase sales in Latin America to 800,000 from 700,000, as European sales remain flat. Fiat is now the top-selling automotive brand in Brazil.

In Asia, four models arrive this year, including the Avventura, Linea, Ottimo, and Punto. The 2015 model year sees the Ottimo Cross, while a D-Size sedan and new Avventura arrive in 2016. Fiat plans to debut a new Punto and new Grand Siena in 2017 and a new compact CUV in 2018.

Fiat has set a goal of 300,000 vehicles sold in 2018, up from 70,000 in 2013.

In North America, Fiat will introduce the 500X, a CUV-type derivative of the 500 that's scheduled to arrive in Europe this year.
