Maryland will begin notifying vehicle owners this month about outstanding safety recalls as part of its registration process, according to a report in the Frederick News-Post. Maryland is the only state providing recall information to its vehicle owners.

Mercedes-Benz U.S.A., LLC is recalling approximately 57 2018 AMG GT, AMG GT C, GLC43 AMG 4Matic, GLC300, GLC300 4Matic and GLC350e 4Matic vehicles because the housing for the driver side air bag inflator may have been made with defective steel.

Mercedes-Benz U.S.A., LLC is recalling over 3,000 vehicles dues to the seat belts of the front seats may not lock correctly on the right side of the seat.

Ford Motor Company is recalling approximately 161 2017-18 Ford F-150 and 2018 Ford Expedition, 2018 Lincoln Navigator and 2018 Ford Mustang vehicles in North America with 10R80 transmissions because the roll pin that attaches the park pawl rod guide cup to the transmission case may be missing.
Ford is recalling an estimated 350,000 2018 F-150 and 2018 Expedition vehicles with 10-speed automatic transmissions as well as 2018 F-650 and F-750 vehicles with six-speed automatic transmissions because a clip that locks the gear shift cable may not be fully seated.

Tesla Motors is recalling an estimated 123,000 Model S vehicles built before April 2016 because the bolts in the power steering component may be corroded and could possibly fail. In the event the bolts fail, the driver would still be able to steer the car but would be required to use "excessive force," leading to an increased risk of injury.

Hyundai Motor America is recalling approximately 2,840 2016-2017 Hyundai Sonata Plug-In Hybrid vehicles equipped with a voltage protection device (VPD) because it may inadvertently activate.

Hino Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc. is recalling an estimated 45 2018 to 2019 trucks with engine codes NE8J, NJ8J, and NV8J because the screw lock nuts that secure the engine's valve train may not have been properly tightened during manufacturing, and could potentially loosen within the engine and damage it.
