5 Minivans Draw IIHS 'Top Safety Pick' Award

ARLINGTON, VA — Five minivan models have earned the 2011 Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The 2012 Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Volkswagen Routan — which all share a common structure — join the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna in the Top Safety Pick ranks following new evaluations for rollover protection.

Chrysler Recalls Nearly 300,000 2008-MY Minivans

WASHINGTON – NHTSA announced Chrysler is recalling a total of 299,718 MY-2008 Town & Country, Voyager, and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans due to an issue with potential inadvertent airbag deployment.

Chrysler to Recall Town & Country, Grand Caravan, Ram

WASHINGTON - Chrysler Group LLC is issuing two major vehicle recalls. The first recall affects more than 367,000 MY 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles, while the second recall covers more than 76,000 MY 2010-2011 Dodge Ram trucks, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Chrysler Recalls 700,000 Minivans, Jeeps

WASHINGTON - Chrysler is recalling nearly 600,000 minivans and Jeep Wranglers in the U.S., along with an additional 100,000 in other markets, because of brake and wiring problems.
