Nissan has begun production of its 2015 model-year Murano, the automaker's more luxury-oriented mid-size SUV that's entering its third generation with this makeover.
The first 2015 Murano rolled off the assembly line in Canton, Miss., on Nov. 4. Nissan unveiled the mid-size SUV at the New York auto show in April. Nissan plans to export the vehicle for sale in more than 100 global markets, Nissan has announced.
For 2015, Nissan is revamping the Murano's exterior body styling and adding a lower-height instrument panel, wider center console, NASA-inspired front seating, and larger windows.
The Murano is being produced in Canton for the time. It joins seven other models now being built at the Nissan Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant, including the NV full-size van, Xterra, Frontier, Titan, and Armada.
