The 2013 Buick Encore sold 31,046 units in its first model year as the nameplate's initial offering in the luxury compact SUV segment, according to General Motors.
The Encore sold 97,311 vehicles globally during the 2013 calendar year as part of Buick's 1.03 million vehicles sold globally.
Industry experts have predicted sales growth in the compact SUV segment in the next few years up until 2018, and automakers are rushing to introduce vehicles.
