Earl H. Miller, founder and former president of Corporate Collision, Inc., passed away on April 30.

Miller, who entered into retirement in October, founded Corporate Collision, Inc. in 1992. The company specializes in fleet and insurance collision repair.

He began his career in the automotive industry by owning a mechanic shop. Miller later also worked as an insurance adjuster, and then later joined the fleet industry, with a brief stint at CEI, before founding Corporate Collision, Inc. Before working in the fleet industry, he also worked in the New York City court system.

Miller was a committed presence to NAFA's chapters, and regularly took part in planning and development for the previously separate New York and InterCounty Chapters, as well as the New Jersey Chapter. He received NAFA's Outstanding Chapter Service Award (Affiliate) in 2001.

"Earl was a dear friend to many, however, (he was) part of the extended Martines family. I am stunned and at a loss for words to describe what he meant to us personally and then the fleet industry,” said Robert Martines, chairman of Corporate Claims Management.

Miller was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. In recent years, he started to take up boating. His final request, according to Martines, was that his ashes be split up so that they could be sprinkled both into the Pacific Ocean and dropped onto the field of Yankee Stadium.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, as well as his two sons, a step daughter, and grandchildren.
