DETROIT – The all-new Chevrolet Silverado 1500 full-size pickup, scheduled to start production next year, will be unveiled Dec. 13 at a special event in the Detroit area.

The rest of the public will be able to get a glimpse of the new pickup at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in January. According to GM, the next-generation model features a new exterior design that reflects the enhanced capabilities of the truck.

Engineers ran the new model through final validation earlier this month.

The Silverado has proven to be a popular vehicle among fleet customers, voted “Truck of the Year” three years in a row, from 2006-2009.

Fleet incentives are currently available for the 2013 Silverado Regular, Crew Cab, and Extended Cab, ranging from $2,500 to $3,500.
