General Motors has unveiled the Buick Velite 5 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), which is a rebranded and modified version of the Chevrolet Volt manufactured in China.
The Velite 5 offers up to 477 miles (768 kilometers) of range in extended-range mode, and its pure electric driving mode provides 72 miles (116 kilometers) of range, according to the automaker. It also features fuel consumption below 1.0 liter (100 kilometers), and its average fuel economy performance is 0.9 liter (100 kilometers). Charging the Velite 5 will take approximately 4.7 hours.
