Paragon Software Systems, Inc., a provider of vehicle routing and scheduling optimization solutions, announces that the company, as part of its continued commitment to expanding overseas, has added two new appointments to support its growing operations in China. Danvers Dai is based in Shanghai and has joined Paragon’s business development team. Dai is working closely with Paragon’s UK team to explore new business opportunities in mainland China. Liz Zheng, a Supply Chain & Logistics Management graduate from Cranfield University, has joined Paragon’s Dorking-based Support Team.

Following the implementation of simplified Chinese into its software in November 2012, Paragon announced its national street level mapping for routing vehicles in mainland China six months later, giving Paragon users the ability to create optimized routes and schedules for their transport operations in China using accurate data, according to the company.

Paragon said it is committed to providing customers with the logistics software they need wherever in the world they may be. The company now offers a wide range of language options, including UK and American English, French, German, Spanish, Hungarian, Croatian, Brazilian Portuguese and simplified Chinese. Users simply select their preferred language from within the Paragon Workbench. This is particularly useful in centrally deployed software environments where it is possible for different users to access a single Paragon software installation concurrently in their own language.

“These new appointments confirm our commitment to China,” commented William Salter, CEO and president of Paragon Software Systems. “We are gradually expanding our operations into the Far East, and we recently launched national street level mapping for routing vehicles in Japan. We believe we are now well on our way to further expanding our operations for customers operating in the Far East, and having a local presence in China will deliver real benefits for our Chinese client base, which includes some leading players in food distribution, third party logistics, automotive and gas distribution.”
