Nissan Recalling 2.14M Vehicles Globally
TOKYO, JAPAN - Nissan Motor Co. plans to recall 2.14 million vehicles worldwide to fix a problem that can cause the engine to stall, Bloomberg reported. This recall includes 761,528 vehicles in North America.

According to the L.A. Times, in the U.S. the affected vehicles include MY 2004-2006 Nissan Armadas, Nissan Titans and Infiniti QX56s and MY 2005-2006 Nissan Frontiers, Pathfinders and Xterras manufactured between August 2003 and June 2006.
In Japan, Nissan will repair nine models, including the March, Note and Tilda compact cars, Bloomberg reported.
The problem is that silicon vapor might form inside the electrical relay that supplies voltage to the engine control module. The vapor can oxidize and lead to stalling. To remedy the problem, Nissan will replace the electrical relay for the engine control module.
The recall is expected to begin next month.
