MONARCH BEACH, CA – Wheels Inc. ranked number 69 and was the top fleet management services provider on the 2008 InformationWeek 500.
MONARCH BEACH, CA– Wheels Inc. ranked number 69 and was the top fleet management services provider on the 2008 InformationWeek 500. The ranking was revealed recently at a gala awards ceremony, part of the exclusive InformationWeek 500 Conference at the St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, Calif. Wheels has ranked in the top 500 every year since 2001, and in the top 100 for two years running.
Wheels garnered recognition for its new fleet decision tool applications, which provide fleet, sourcing, and finance executives with innovative tools that provide an organized and straightforward look at all fleet expenses, capturing and presenting the data needed to make optimal decisions for their fleet. The tools also allow customers to do complex budgeting modeling scenarios, vital in today's rapidly changing economic conditions.
"The variety of factors affecting fleet expenses can make tracking, understanding, and managing budgets difficult and time consuming," said Scott Edidin, Wheels senior account manager. "However, using our new Expense Variance and Cost Projection tools, executives and managers can easily and quickly mine fleet data in real-time to control their fleet costs, avoid expense surprises and identify savings opportunities, allowing for smart, educated business decisions."
Rather than simply providing access to data, Wheels' new tools provide comprehensive analysis and actual solutions to fleet management issues. Such technology will help customers and their Wheels account teams to manage the fleets to meet each company's goals for financial, environmental, and productivity standards.
