FLINT, MI – Mac McCollum died on Mar. 19 at his home. McCollum was one of the founders of the Flint Auto Auction (established in 1953) as well as Manheim’s Michigan Auto Auction (established in 1990). He was 99. McCollum was a World War II veteran. In 1977, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA), and in the early-1950s he served as secretary/treasurer for NAAA. McCollum’s funeral service took place March 26.
