Ethanol Now Accounts for Over 7 Percent of U.S. Gasoline Supply

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Dec. 19 marked the one-year anniversary of the signing of the Energy Security and Independence Act (EISA), which included a section -- the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) -- requiring the use of ethanol and other renewable fuels to reduce dependence on foreign oil.

Cellulosic Ethanol Company Raises Nearly $100M in New Funding

BROOMFIELD, Colo. --- Range Fuels, a company researching the means to bring cellulosic ethanol to market, has raised nearly $100 million in new funding from Khosla Ventures and an undisclosed investor, the Industry Standard reported.

20-Percent Ethanol Blend Passes Compatibility, Performance Tests

PAUL, Minn. --- Increasing the amount of renewable ethanol blended into gasoline from 10 percent to 20 percent does not present problems for current vehicles or fuel dispensing equipment and provides similar power and performance, according to a new study released Wednesday by the State of Minnesota.
