The InterCore Driver Alertness Detection System (DADS) is a cloud based service that monitors driver alertness in real time using a camera linked to a smartphone. It scans a driver’s face for signs of fatigue and alerts the driver and dispatchers to unsafe driver conditions.
The windshield-mounted camera scans the driver’s face and generates a warning when it believes the driver has fallen into a lower level of alertness. It can warn drivers and dispatchers as much as two hours before a driver reaches a critically reduced state of awareness, says InterCore.
