Ford's 2019 Ranger Midsize Pickup

The 2019 Ford Ranger will mark the return of the truck to the North American market.

The 2019 Ranger will be a mid-size pickup, larger than the compact pickup that was sold in North America eight years ago.

Some of the biggest requests that Ford receives from fleet customers are tied to safety. Ford aims to address many of those concerns with the technology offered on the new Ranger.

Rear camera and automatic emergency braking will be available on all trims. Packages that include lane keep assist, lane departure warning, reverse sensing system, and blind spot detection will be available.

The 2019 Ford Ranger will be available in an XL base version, an XLT mid-level trim, and a Lariat high series trim.

Given the larger profile of the truck this time around, there will be more cabin space for passengers.

The new Ranger will be mainly composed of high-strength steel, but will also feature aluminum in certain parts to optimize weight and performance.

Ford expects the new Ranger to deliver four-cylinder economy, with six-cylinder power.
