Volvo has begun offering a connected roadside assistance program that allows drivers to track help that's on the way through a ride-sharing-style interface, the company has announced.
Volvo has begun offering a connected roadside assistance program that allows drivers to track help that's on the way through a ride-sharing-style interface, the company has announced.
The company has also begun offering around-the-clock service from a New Jersey-based Customer Care team that will guide drivers through the process. Volvo rolled out both services on June 1.
Volvo is using "advanced tracking technology" to help drivers pin-point the location of services to help in the event of a vehicle breakdown. The new roadside assistance program joins other connected car technologies includign valet service, fuel delivery, and in-car delivery in select European markets.
While tracking the roadside assistance, drivers can speak with a customer service agent from Volvo Concierge Customer Care.
