Toyota to Discontinue Avalon in MY22
The full-size sedan will cease production for model year 2022. Final orders must be placed by May 10, 2022.

The automaker confirmed with suppliers the end of the full-size sedan, which was introduced in MY1995.

Toyota is saying goodbye to the Avalon after the 2022 model year.
The news first surfaced on August 2 from Automotive News and since has been confirmed by Toyota.
The Avalon was introduced in 1995 with the intent of offering a more premium option from the Camry. It is Toyota's largest and most expensive sedan — and one of the last full-size sedans left. Toyota introduced the current model for the 2019 model year, and for 2021, added available AWD and a special edition.
For 2022, the TRD model won't return, and neither will the XLE AWD, Limited AWD, and XSE Nightshade models.
Motor Authority, however, reported that Toyota will continue selling the Avalon in China, where production is handled locally.
The final deadline to order the 22MY Avalon and Avalon HV in the U.S. is May 10, 2022.
