GMC Sierra's MultiPro Tailgate
With the primary gate closed, the innter gate opens to provide a work surface.
GMC's 2019 Sierra 1500 adds the MultiPro tailgate on the SLT and Denali trims.
The first of six postions lowers the tailgate to the standard open position.
With the primary gate lowered, the smaller gate opens to provide a load stop to keep longer cargo from sliding out of the bed.
With the primary gate lowered, the smaller gate can fold down to provide easier access when loading cargo.
With the smaller gate down, a step can be folded out to help a driver step into the bed. A handle mounted to the left side folds up to provide extra stability.
The inner gate can also be used as a load stop for second-tier cargo.
