Volvo Car USA announced the details for its 2026 hybrid lineup.
Every 2026 model year Volvo car will come equipped with Volvo Car UX, a new technology designed to make interacting with vehicles more intuitive. Volvo Car UX allows drivers to focus on navigating the roads while maintaining access to what they need, when they need it.
Later in 2025, Volvo will deliver this technology to vehicles with Google built in. That means that 2.5 million customers around the globe will get an upgrade to their vehicles built as early as 2020.
Another upgrade comes via Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm Technologies. This improvement makes the Google Android Automotive-based infotainment system faster and more responsive.
Already available on the EX90 and EX30, this upgrade will expand to the entire 2026 Volvo Cars lineup.
The XC60 is refreshed with a larger 11.2 in., free-standing center screen and a 21% higher pixel density than older models. It also includes smart storage, new cupholders, an improved wireless phone charger, and a mix of new interior décor, inlays, and upholsteries. The exterior features a new air intake.
Adaptive cruise control is now standard across the entire U.S. lineup, automatically adjusting speed and distance relative to cars ahead.
The Black Edition styling option is now available on the XC40, in addition to the XC60. The option will also be available with Crystal White, Vapour Grey, and Denim Blue exterior colors.
Volvo Cars has also introduced two new exterior colors – Forest Lake, a semi-dark green metallic with an elegant turquoise sparkle when exposed to sunlight and Aurora silver, a futuristic silver metallic with a balanced purple tint.
More information on additional 2026 model year updates will be available in the coming months.
