Leading Toyota Corolla Plant Builds 500,000th Car
Toyota's assembly plant in Blue Springs, Miss., produced its 500,000th Corolla compact car to become the first U.S. Toyota plant to achieve the milestone, the automaker has announced.

Toyota's assembly plant in Blue Springs, Miss., produced its 500,000th Corolla compact car to become the first U.S. Toyota plant to achieve the milestone, the automaker has announced.
Toyota Mississipi built the milestone car earlier this month at the plant, which employs 2,000 workers. Toyota has sold more than 10 million Corollas in the U.S. since debuting the vehicle here in 1968.
In 2014, Toyota Mississippi produced nearly 180,000 Corollas. Toyota refreshed the Corolla for the 2014-MY after launching the eleventh-generation compact car with the 2012-MY.
