Ram 1500 Wins Motor Trend Truck Test
Of the three top-selling full-size pickup truck contenders, Ram has won the Motor Trend 2015 half-ton truck shootout, Ram has announced.

Of the three top-selling full-size pickup truck contenders, Ram has won the Motor Trend 2015 half-ton truck shootout, Ram has announced.
For the competition, Motor Trend brought the 2015 models of the Ram 1500, Chevrolet Silverado and the Ford F-150 to a 260-mile course starting in eastern California and ending in western Arizona. Each truck was evaluated with five criteria, including fuel economy, limit handling, tow testing, payload testing and standard testing.
Judges chose the Ram 1500 for its EcoDiesel V-6 engine as well as its eight-speed TorqueFlight transmission and its fuel economy of 28 mpg, according to Ram. The F-150 has a fuel economy of 26 mpg highway, while the Silverado gets 24 mpg highway.
