Buick has introduced the Encore Sport Touring for 2016, a more powerful Encore with an all-new turbocharged four-cylinder engine, according to a General Motors announcement.
The Encore Sport Touring, which will arrive at dealer lots in the fall, is powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine featuring direct injection and stop-start technology. The engine is exclusive to this vehicle.
By using direct injection, the engine can generate 153 hp and 177 lb.-ft. of torque for an increase of 11 percent in horsepower and nearly 20 percent in torque from the standard Encore engine.
